Hi again
It's been a bit longer than I thought but things have been a bit difficult at home so not much time to craft but today I went to Whitstable Stamp Shop as I was asked to go along with some of the other Design Team Ladies from Oyster Stamps and what a fun day we had..... We ( My Husband Steve and me) had never been to Whitstable before as we have never found anywhere to park but there is parking in a School there where they ask for donations which is such a great thing to do to help raise funds for the School and it makes it easier to have a good noisy around Whitstable for everyone..... which we did after finishing demoing at Whitstable Craft Shop.....
Anyway here are three cards that I made using the beautiful Heartfelt Creations Poinsettia Stamps and the stamp I used for these is called "Sparking Poinsttia" which is a large stamps and comes with some lovely Holly leaves.... These are available from both Whitstable Stamp Craft Shop who are at 21A Oxford Street, Whitstable, Kent, CT5 1DB..... Telephone No 01227 264303 or of course from Oyster Stamps and here's the link for you ..... http://www.oysterstamps.co.uk/pre-order-heartfelt-creations-large-sparkling-poinsettia-cling-stamp-set-c2x17582595 .
I stamped onto Water Colour Card using Versamark and then embossed using White Detail Embossing Powder..... Once this had cooled down I shook some Brusho's onto the background and then spritzed with lots of water and moved the colour around until I was happy..... Once I have finished the background I set about doing much the same with the flowers and leaves and then left to dry.... Once I was happy with the result I then sprinkled Stampendous Frantage Embossing Powder on in places to give it that glittery distressed look and then when finished matted and layered it onto suitable coloured card..... I have used various Words Dies from Memory Box and Penny Black and also some pretty Snowflakes again by Memory Box ..... all available from Oyster Stamps and Whitstable Stamp Craft Shop.....
I have given you lots of photo's so you can have a good look at them and hopefully get some inspiration to try these on you own..... and of course to finish I used my Sparkle Gel Pens just to add a little extra sparkle, lol ..... Here are my cards and I really loved doing these so I intend playing and creating some more like this again soon..... Hope you like them too !!!
I think this is my favourite although I still love the others but I think this shouts "Christmas" to me because of the colours..... What do you think ???
I think this is my next favourite .....
.....and finally a different shaped card.....
Anyway away I must as I have a few chores to do but I will be back very soon withs ome more of my creations.....
So until then lots of love and thanks for stopping by and go on try this yourself ..... You'll love it, I promise.....

New Lavinia Stamps Challenge Starts Today - #8 " Anything but a card !!! " .....
Good Sunday Morning to you,,,,,
It doesn't seem 5 minutes since I was writing this for last month's Lavinia Challenge.....
Well here we go .....
This month it's "Anything but a card" and I had all these things in my head that I fancied doing but unfortunately time run out so I got my good trusty Stampbord out and I really love using this stuff.....
Well I first decided I would make a few Key rings with it so I picked a couple of the square Stampbord pieces and a Domino shape piece......
I must mention that with Stampbord, well it really sucks up the inks or medium that you choose to use and I always try to apply it from the ink pad direct as this then gives the best colour but it really depends on what look you are looking for and I am sure that you will find you own way with it ......
For the 3 Key Rings I chose a variety of stamps
Keyring 1..... For this I used the Heart Border Stamp which I stamped over a Domino piece of Stampbord that I had used 2 colours of the VersaMagic Chalk Ink Pads, Pink Petunia and Purple Hydrangea. These inks cover so nicely and are such pretty colours...... I then stamped the Heart Border using the Black Archival Ink Pad..... Once the Black Archival Ink dried I used a scrappy tool and carved out the shape of the Hearts just to highlight them..... I then added a little Silver Sparkle Gel Pen to add a little bit of bling..... Once this was dry I edged it with a Sharpie Permanent Marker and then using a Permanent Black Calligraphy Pen I carefully went around the front by nuzzling it into the pen nib which will give it a straight border.....
2..... For my second Keyring I used the Thistle Stamp again using the Black Archival Ink Pad I stamped it over a blended background of Mango Madness and with the Persimmon I went around the edge so that the centre was left with the lighter colour as the eye then goes straight to that point..... Around the edge of the square piece of stampbord I stamped using the thorns from the Thistle Stamp to give it a all around boarder that finished the edge of nicely..... Again I carved the highlights into the key ring and added some Gold Sparkle Gel Pen just to finish it off.....
3..... For my final key ring I used the Wild Flower Stamp over a blended background of Pretty Petunia and Spring Pansy Ink and I stamped the images using Black Archival Ink. I varied the height of the stamped flowers and also used first and second generation stamping to create depth into the image..... I again use the edge of the Wildflower stamp to add a border and then used the scrappy tool to highlight the flowers and then finished the edge again with the Black Sharpie and Calligraphy Pens ...... A bit of bling using the Silver Sparkle Gel Pen ..... job done and there was 3 finished Key rings.....

Here's what I made !!!
A bit of bling using the Silver Sparkle Gel Pen ..... job done and there was 3 finished Key rings.....
Jewel Box ..... Now for my second project I used a small wooden jewellery box and coloured it using Inka Gold in Gold and Copper colours ...... On a square piece of Stampbord I used Key Lime Versamagic Ink and Mango Madness and tried to shade it but not to overlap as I didn;t think that the 2 together would blend into a very nice colour..... I stamped again in Black Archival Ink using the Maple Leaf Stamp and then using the scrappy tool I highlighted the leaves and stems and added highlights using the Silver Sparkle Gel Pen..... (I do think these add just what it needs to finish a piece off, lol )..... Using the Black Sharpie and Calligraphy Pens I edged to finish.....
For my final Project I decided to make a Peg Note Holder and using again the Inka Gold in Blue I covered the pen to seal the wood..... I picked two larger Domino Pieces of Stampbord and Stamped the image using Tea Dye Distress in just to give me a guide line of where the image was going to go ..... I then using Cotton Buds added the colour using the VersaMagic Inks in Sea Breeze and Aspen Mist for the Sky, Key Lime for the Grass and Pretty Petunia for the leaves.... Once I had added the colour I lined up the Zen Leaf stamp again and then using Black Archival Ink I stamped the outline images of the stamps and then added the Moon Gazing Hare as he was a solid Black image..... I scraped used the scrappy tool highlights and edged again using the Sharpie & Calligraphy Markers then finished with the Silver Gel Sparkle Pen.....
So if you fancy having a go..... grab yourself some Stampbord and play and if you like you can use these for inspiration..... really I don't mind !!!
Enjoy the rest of your Sunday and see you again soon
Hugs and lots of love xxx

My latest Brusho Cards - Kay Carley's Workshop
Hi All
Oh my did I enjoy Kay's Workshop that I went to at the Craft Barn last Weekend.... Kay has an amazing talent of just doing it right with what ever she touches and I so admire her for that.....
I did a previous Workshop with her again using Brusho's so in case you haven't seen my previous cards flick back a few projects and you will find them.....
Anyway many of you have ask me to blog how I created these cards so here goes.....
Firstly we use Crafters Companion Watercolour Card as when you use Brusho's you usually use loads and loads of water an this is made to withstand that.....
Stencils used were Windy Tree, Allium and Apple Blossom all by Imagination Crafts.....
PaperArtsy Grunge Paste
Brusho's ..... Colours Used ..... Windy Tree Card..... Yellow Ochre and Moss Green
Allium Card..... Ultramarine Blue, Violet and Leaf Green
White Detailed Embossing Powder and Stampendous Shabby White Embossing Powder
Now here goes..... first we used the Grunge Paste through the Stencils using a Pallet knife and made sure it was all dried thoroughly before going further as otherwise the water will affect it Grunge Paste and it will fall off ..... Then I stamped the Jofy Stamps using Tim Holtz Clear Embossing Ink and the sprinkled the White Detailed Embossing Powder all over and heated it to set the embossing before proceeding with the Brusho's and water ..... Brusho's was next using the colours above on Allium and the Windy Tree..... Once I was happy with the colours and it was all dried I went around the Grunge Paste Tree and Allium with the colour paint I had used on the card to enhance the paste shapes...... I mixed the Moss Green and painted it around the Tree and Leaves and then with the Ultramarine I painted it around the Allium and Flowers and once I was finally happy with how it looked I dried it thoroughly with a heat gun....... I then sprinkled the Stampendous Shabby White Embossing Powder all over the area I had chosen making sure not to use too much as otherwise it will look like it's in a blizzard and it will obliterate the stamping and Grunge Paste and all the finer detail..... I then using some of the mixed Brusho's paint took a piece of cut and dry and stencilled the paint through the Apple Blossom Stencil on the top and sides on the card .....
Then I "Faffed", lol ...... Oh how I love to "Faff" !!!..... First I used similar tones in the Distress Pens to darken or add a bit of colour onto the Allium Flower and the Tree, really just to make them stand out a little better bu deepening the colour on them..... Then on one side of the Windy Tree I went around it with a Black Fine Liner Pen and on the other side I used a White Ink Pen which highlighted that side and which made the Grunge Paste shapes stand out from the background. Once I was happy with that I then highlighted it with a Gold Sparkle Pen on the Tree and Silver Sparkle Pen on the Allium.....
Job done !!!
I really enjoyed creating these cards and I'm hoping to be doing some more soon ..... So please pop back from time to time to see if I have added more..... but until then here's some more photo's and there are probably far too many but I hope you like them .....
Take care and will be back soon..... till then big hugs and lots of love xxx
